Celebrate National Rosé Wine Day at Left Bank Brasserie
In honor of National Rosé Wine Day on Saturday, June 8th, Left Bank Brasserie invites you to join us for a delightful celebration of this beloved pink-hued wine. Whether you're a longtime fan of rosé or just beginning to explore its charms, our special selection of rosé wines will make this day unforgettable.
A Brief History of Rosé
Rosé wine has a rich history that dates back to ancient times. It is one of the oldest known types of wine, believed to have originated around 600 BC when the Greeks founded the city of Massalia (now Marseille) in the south of France. The wine produced at that time was closer to what we know today as rosé due to the short maceration period, resulting in lighter-colored wines.
The modern popularity of rosé began to rise in the mid-20th century, especially in the Provence region of France, which is still considered the heartland of rosé production. Known for its refreshing qualities and versatility, rosé has become a favorite for warm weather and festive occasions.
